Beekman Tower
UBS is proud to have played an important role in the success of The Beekman project by exclusively providing both the hoisting and leading-edge perimeter protection for the job.
The hoisting involved two complexes. The West hoist complex consisted of a large common platform, up to 45' from the building, designed for up to three dual (6 cars) personnel/material hoists, serving the 77th Floor. The North complex consisted of a common platform, up to 30' from the building with one dual personnel/material hoist, servicing the 51st Floor.
UBS designed, fabricated, installed and maintained its patented leading-edge "Cocoon System" around the perimeter of the building, continually raising the system in synch with the fast construction pace of up to a floor every two days.
